is a child focused non-profit organization that is taking the lead in raising awareness on Child Online Protection by implementing informative and sensitization programs on internet safety. We work directly with children and young people, between the ages of 6 and 18years, on a weekly basis, as well as parents, teachers and professionals.
Our program aims to raise alertness on how to be safe online while promoting positive internet use and experiences. Watoto Watch Network was founded in 2013.
We staged the First Child Online Safety Play at The Kenya National Theater on 6th June 2022. Theater method is an effective teaching tool as it allows students to actively engage with the material through role-playing and improvisation. This helps to make the learning experience more interactive and memorable, which can lead to greater retention of information. Theater performances helps students develop important skills such as public speaking, teamwork, and critical thinking. Theater performances also helps to break the monotony of traditional classroom teaching and make it more interesting for students. The play was targeting children, young people, parents, teachers and guardians.

The Safer Internet Day slogan is “Together for a better internet” which encourages everyone to join the movement, to participate, and to make the most of the internet’s potential to bring people together. The campaign aims to reach out to children and young people, parents and careers, teachers, educators and social workers, as well as industry, decision-makers and politicians, to encourage everyone to play their part in creating a better internet. Join us in commemorating SID 2023!
Research and experience have repeatedly shown that keeping children safe from harm requires school administration and child protection agencies to record, analyze and understand the significance of the information they have about them. In Kenya, the right to privacy to children is found in the Data Protection Act and The Children’s Act 2022 that guarantees every child’s right to equal protection and equal benefit of the law. We seek to enhance the capacities of School Administrators and Child Protection partners in the country so as to enable them to promote Digital rights and ensure data protection of children.
The Internet can be used for many positive purposes, as we try to navigate through the risks that come with access to technology. Some of the positive ways to use the internet include connecting people, sharing information, and promoting education. On this program we create awareness on the benefits of the internet and how children can use the internet positively. We lobby for connectivity in schools so as to bridge the digital divide in Kenya We have connected some schools to internet. Engaging young leaners in Digital Literacy programs
