At Safe Together, we believe that every child deserves a safe and empowering online experience. Our mission is to promote child online safety within the deaf community through specialized awareness training sessions for children and teachers.
Safe Together Project is a child online safety initiative supported by Google through Impact Amplifier, and implemented by Watoto Watch Network. The project seeks to promote a safer digital environment for Deaf children and youth in Kenya by delivering accessible and engaging online safety training.
Implemented in partnership with Deaf Kidz International—a global expert in Deaf child protection—the project integrates the Deaf Kidz Defenders platform, an innovative digital tool designed specifically for Deaf children. This interactive resource delivers seven key safety messages through animations and games, using no spoken or written language, and is fully accessible to young Deaf audiences.
Teacher Awareness Workshops
We equip teachers with the tools and knowledge needed to guide their students toward safe online practices. Our workshops are designed to address the unique challenges faced by educators in the deaf community, providing actionable strategies and resources.
